Canadians React To Public Racism

In the wake of October’s shootings in Ottawa, Canadians wowed the world with their compassion and moderate coverage of the violent events.

What’s more, Canadians were quick to point out that the man in question was a Muslim extremist, not an average follower of Islam.

YouTuber Omar Albach wanted to see how Canadians felt in the days following the terrible shootings.

He dressed in traditional Muslim garb while waiting for a bus. Albach’s friend played the stereotypical bigot and tried to prevent him from boarding the bus because he looked like a terrorist.
Instead of encouraging Muslim stereotypes, those waiting at the bus stop intervened. It’s touching to see them defend Albach until the end.
