The Knick

I have been a big Clive Owen fan since Children Of Men and the first Sin City movie. I enjoy most period dramas and to set one in turn of the century New York and the Knickerbocker Hospital is a great start. I waited until I was a few episodes in to render my opinion because I needed to get in the rhythm of the story. Once I did that I found there is a lot to reward the viewer here.

I love all the gore and the costumes and the savage way that the people live. This may be New York, the center of civilization, but it's the dark and ugly side of the Big Apple. I was thinking for a second that adding a Jack the Ripper-like character would be perfect but the show is already filled with enough monsters. I dig it.
