The Death Of Superman Lives Trailer

This year we seemed be inundated with documentaries about movies that NEVER got released, must lest made. From Jodorofsky's Dune to Roger Corman's Fantastic Four, these movie ideas were so high profile that the story of their creation (or lack of creation) is interesting to me.

Maybe the grand daddy of all bad movie ideas would be the Nicolas Cage vehicle - Superman Lives - were Cage himself was to play the Man of Steel. What a glorious piece of crap that would have been. Usually with these superhero movies you start with an actor who at least LOOKS the part. Cage would have to become an entirely different person from birth if he ever wanted to be Superman. I can't believe the idea got past the pitch stage - where it should have been laughed out of the room. But what fun would that be? Now with hindsight we can look back and what could have been and thankfully wasn't. It could have derailed this Golden Age of superhero movies that we now enjoy.
