It's Sad

My first reaction was to think that if HE can't deal with being a combination of manic and depressed, what hope do I have? He had access to everything and it still wasn't enough to silence the ghosts in his head. He entertained me very much over the years and the tributes that will come his way in the next few days will be well deserved.

The man was a comic genius but we often forget that celebrities are just human too and have the same demons we all do. RIP -- the world will be a much less funny place without him.

it's very sad, he brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. he'll be greatly missed.

He was a particular idol of mine. And not just because he did enough blow to keep up with John Belushi and enough acid to make the Beatles look like One Direction or even the fact he had a magnificent all over body beard I am particularly jealous of but he could tell a good joke too.

Hard to grasp. But if you take anything from this, Cal, then take that help is out there and to always take advantage of it. He took one way out, but sadly his way is a one way street. Don't follow his example.

Had lunch with him in Kuwait a few years back, wonderful, kind and gentle spirit. Enjoyed the attention.

Another comic genius has been silenced.

Lots of words in my head... nothing to describe the way I am feeling. Too soon, damn those demons. I hope he finds the peace he needs.
