I could easily see modified versions of these uniforms for a new iteration of "Star Trek". They're colorful yet practical. The one at the top actually reminds me a lot of a better version of the suits they wore in "Star Trek The Motion Picture".
Maybe I am subconsciously chanelling my costume ideas for my Starfleet Academy series.
I liked how the last Trek film 'Darkness' had the Admiral outfits look quite like the Trek:TMP Admiral outfits (as Kirk first wore in the film..).
Nice harkening back to a great design. TMP is still my favorite Trek film.
