Timeslip

For a year or so Marvel Age magazine ran a two page feature where they had some of their best artist re-imagine their character. They called it TIMESLIP and it was some of the best stuff coming out if the House of Ideas and made us all crave to see these comic concepts actually published. My favorite was always the Punisher who was reimagined as an wimpy accountant who lost his family and 'balanced accounts' by making sure that the number of innocent deaths equaled the number of criminal deaths by the end of the 'fiscal' year. That thought scares me more than some ex-marine on the streets with a skull painted on his chest. This 'steampunk' version of Iron Man more closely resembles the kind of robotic superhero we would actually see in real life with all its homemade scrappiness. This guy looks like he would need to carry around a can of oil to handle all his squeeks like the tin man from the Wizard of Oz.
